HISTORY OF THE ARAMAIC ENGLISH NEW TESTAMENT

Throughout history a small remnant of Netzari Jewish and non-Jewish followers of Y'shua existed that dates back to the original Shlichim (Sent Ones/Apostles).  This sect has been referred to as Nazarenes, yet this label has been interpreted in manifold ways by those within and outside of the Netzari (Nazarene) Faith.  The Aramaic English New Testament (AENT) is a product of Netzarim Faith.  Andrew Gabriel Roth is a Netzari Jewish follower of Y'shua as are the publisher and editor.  Although some might think it impossible that the original Faith has been retained for nearly 2,000 years, that is only because there is very limited access to such communities and because those of the Netzari Faith are forced underground by modern Jewish and Christian communities.  The Netzarim exist within Rabbinical Judaism and Christian communities, and commonly experience persecution from both sides.

Until the Fifth Century Netzarim were a visible minority within Christianity and Judaism however, over the centuries the Netzari Faith has only made its way into the public record through mainstream religious leaders bringing railing accusations and warnings to their flocks about those who are “too Jewish” to be Christians or “too Christian” to be Jews.

Within a pluralistic and relativistic society it is a challenge to return to the Ancient Path, but that journey holds the purpose of life in the most succinctly revealed ways.  Certainly the AENT reveals a clear theological model, but beyond this objective is the more profound revelation of each individual's personal relationship with YHWH and His Mashiyach; not based on a purified theology or statement of Faith, but through a more intimate relationship with the Word Himself.  In reality, many people fear becoming "too religious" because they see the tyranny, inequalities and hypocrisies of religion, but on the other hand, Mashiyach (who is Perfection) was persecuted solely for offering "perfection" through entrance into the Kingdom of Elohim and thus freedom from religion.

Mashiyach is far more a government than a religion, it is within mankind's quest to be connected to Ein Sof (the Infinite One) that we reach our greatest potential as humans.  The Aramaic English New Testament contains many points of relationship within basic principles of righteous living that helps draw the neshama (spirit of man) closer to the Ruach haKodesh (Set Apart Spirit) of YHWH. 

Most certainly the Work of Mashiyach in our hearts is far greater than the sum of any Bible translation, but through a child-like trust, and an open, obedient heart that honors the King of Kings, we can each draw closer to the greatest Joy of life, to even hear the Master's voice.  This is the goal and this is the testimony of many who have been delighted to learn about Y'shua according to the language he spoke and in the language that his followers understood his teachings.
